I watch a lot of TV.
Online streaming was pretty much the most unproductive thing that has ever happened to me. In fact, I started listing all of the shows I consistently keep up with and then promptly stopped myself because it was embarrassing. My latest obsession? The Walking Dead. This show is equal parts terrifying and addicting and I have already lost a significant amount of sleep lying awake devising my zombie apocalypse plan.
But I digress.
Due to my affinity for all things TV, it should come as no surprise that when the Amazing Race , a reality show premised on racing around the world in teams, finally ventured north of the border I jumped all over it. Behold the Belore sisters, Amazing Race Canada hopefuls and your next favourite dynamic reality TV duo.
Pure entertainment.
Although the video-making process took over my life for a week or so, it was a ton of fun to put together. The fact that Jill and I currently live in separate cities complicated matters and meant that we had to rely heavily on past videos of us together from our recent South American adventure, summers at the cottage, and shenanigans in between. What we didn’t expect was the outpouring of support from family and friends after sharing our video. Chosen or not, these two small town sisters already feel like D list reality TV celebrities. #teambelore, let’s go!!!
PS. Ten essentials for surviving a zombie apocalypse
Update: Sadly. CTV did not find us as charming as we had hoped and we were not selected. Thanks to all who supported our efforts, we had a blast putting it together.
